Deepmind's Genie 2 can generate a digital, playable, game-like environment for training of future general-purpose spatial models.
It can be played be people or AI using keyboard and mouse inputs.
Genie 2 can simulate virtual worlds with consequences for actions taken, such as movement, jumping, and more.
It is trained on a series of videos that provide information about how our world functions.
This technology is great for creating AI that can react and exist in a custom-made world, but in my opinion, that's only the starting point.
If the physics are rendered well, these worlds could extend their use to real-life models used in robotics on a large scale where AI would teach other AI way faster than humans could with the simulations we create.
Soon, we may even see AI 360, no-scope snipes highlight reels pop up - Interesting world we we live in, I say!
